Hey guys,
With the tonnage nerf to clans scouting the huntsman/nova will be the go to mechs. Here are some builds I've found really powerful for scouting.
Standard Streak and Pew

Obviously you can easily add a tag if that's your playstyle like so:

The Biggest reason this is my number one, is quiet frankly, Streaks maximum range. 370 meters can make a world of difference. It can be the difference of catching that locust who's about to escape. Ripping apart a Innersphere Centurion before he can even get close. Range is a big factor for the amount of dmg SRM's do. The active probe is a must so you can more easily get locks counter ecm etc... Use the streaks to close range, open up the enemy mechs. The smalls to focus components, I will Stress that Chain firing streaks are almost never worth it. Streaks massively spread dmg to being with, Chain firing just adds to this. Fire as 4 (ignoring ghost heat) and then chain 2/2 or 3/1 what ever your fancy is.
Pure streaks.

Pretty straight forward, Tag to help with locks. Since locks are your only way to get dmg it's much more effective on this build. Again I stress, please do not chain fire you are almost always more effective shooting them in 3/2 rather then spreading dmg MORE then you need too.

My personal preference. I like it more then 8 Srm 4's with Artemis. It runs cooler does more dmg, and has similar dps. like the splat dog just fire 3/3 and profit. I will say though that while brutal at Sub 270 meters it can be out traded by Meta Innersphere mechs. The reality is ac20 brawlers have better structure and weapon quirks that can make this build punishing. It's also less effective now after the ghost heat nerfs as before you could alpha and still be under 40% heat.

While a good build, As stated above I really believe that 6 srm6 is straight better. Though this build works.

Another strong build, But like with the SRM4's I feel that if you plan on running this mech the 6srm 6 is straight up better. This build is much hotter and while it does give you some pin point dmg in the form of small pulse, it's just not effective enough for my taste. It still is a big contender and Is viable.
Notes
I'd also strongly recommend to reduce your back armor to a 3 or 4, and putting heavy front armor, In scouting you almost always take frontal dmg it can make a world of difference when brawling with our tankier Innersphere counter points. The smurfy points used in the above links are simply place holders. Adjust as comfortable.
